As it has been awhile since I have sent a picture of Waldo, I have attached one of him and my dog Romeo :).

Waldo is settling in very well, five weeks into joining our family.  He has the routine down pat, and learns very quickly. I have to remember he's still pretty much a puppy as compared to Romeo and it is fun to watch. He and Romeo get along so well and he has been great with two other dogs we see frequently.  We will continue to work on his human "aggression", I find once he gets used to someone, he is fine.  I am meeting with a behaviourist to make sure we meet Waldo's needs in this area going forward.

Just so happy to have him as part of our little family, and from the looks of it, he is pretty happy too!

Update May '16

He is doing great after three months.  We're working steadily on his training and he has made great progress, but still so stranger shy - he is absolutely great with dogs though, he loves to snuggle close to my older dog.

Update July '16

I promised an updated picture of Waldo for the summer, and I can't think of a better picture than this :)  He looks SO handsome.

He has a full new coat of beautiful reddish fur on his back, no more shedding and has gained about 2 pounds, so he's nice and full.  I think if he could spend all his time outside he would, I've never seen a dog quite so excited to go outside as him lol.

Waldo has come a long way since January and I'm sure he will continue to progress with his challenges.

Update December '17

I cannot believe that I have had Wally for almost 2 years.  The changes have been remarkable especially in this past year, he is so playful and will not go anywhere without a tummy rub first lol :)).  I have learned that he walks in a small circle whenever he is excited about something, it's adorable, specifically before meals and treats.  This has just started in the past couple of months.

Over the next year I will be concentrating on his socialization with strangers, he doesn't particularly care for them :)) (understatement), so I will probably enlist the help of a trainer for that next phase of his social activities.  He is fantastic with his new groomer who does his nails, but we muzzle him gently for any visits to vets and groomers, for everyone's safety.  He is very good about it and just sits between my knees while I put the muzzle on.

Anyway, that's my most recent report on this wonderful boy - we are so glad that he's part of our family and that boy is a cuddler supreme as well :)).

Update April '18

Wally is quite the goofball after 2 years with us - playful, fetch is a favourite, super-excited for walks and drives in the car.  He makes me laugh all the time.  His favourite past time is waiting for the neighbours to be out so he can growl at them (true story) - I doubt that this pupper will ever love strangers.    He is getting really good at snack-time tricks as well, we practice once a day :)).  I find Wally looks bigger on the reverse camera though lol!!

Update June '18

Little Wally turned 4 this week and decided that a good gift would be a sting on his little snout lol...he was fine but had two little chipmunk cheeks for a few hours.

Wanting to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and all the very best in 2019.  Unfortunately I couldn't get Wally a pose with Santa (he still doesn't like strangers), maybe next year lol.

Update January '19

I can't believe it has been three years since we decided to adopt little Waldo from the SPCA (Wally to us now) :)) He has come such a LONG way, and has certainly made life interesting since he arrived. :))

This picture is him last night being told that there will be a special treat for today :)).

Wally is happy now that this horrendous winter is over and we can go back to our nice walks every day - he is doing great, and is loving a regular evening game of "fetch".

Soon we can get in the back yard and watch the birds and squirrels again, one of his favourite pastimes :)).
