My name is Teyla.  I just turned 1 year old on December 18.  My mom made me special peanut butter and banana treats for my birthday and they were tasty.  My family adopted me on May 18, 2009.  They brought me home and I was so surprised to see a big backyard to play in and a doggy bed for me to sleep on (truth is I get to sleep with my parents).

My brothers, Rob & Shane, like to play with me.  They give me these really fun toys to play with and we wrestle a lot.  They take me outside to play football and we even go skating on the rink in the backyard.  They have friends that visit and have given me a nickname “Tey-Tey”.  They even like to play with me and they have dogs that visit and play with me too like Dakota, Abby, Maggie and Blazer.  I am really shy when I meet new dog friends but when I get to know them I love to play and run but I do not bark often. I like to talk though and my family always laugh and talk to me so I talk a little more.

I have a friend next door that is 13 years old and her name is Macie.  She is a German Shepherd.  She has taught me so much.  She barks at me when I am doing things right and barks at me when I am doing things wrong.  She loves to run with me and I love to chase her.

I am so happy that my family brought me home.  They tell me they love me all of the time and I give them kisses to show them I love them too.  When they come home my tail is wagging so much, I did not realize I would ever be this happy.  They brought me to a place called puppy school and I learned a bunch of tricks like:  sit, paw, bow, down, roll over, come and when I do these tricks they give me some really tasty treats.

Thank you for introducing my family to me.  You were a great place to stay until my permanent home came along.
