Sully
(aka Wesley)
Sully
was a little sad when I first met him as his family of 5 years had
left him behind and he had a few long-standing infections on the go.
His infections are all gone now and despite not wanting to eat at the
shelter, he dug right into his first meal at home and has continued to
have a healthy appetite since then.
Sully
is a really lovely dog – he is very good-natured and enjoys the
company of people and other dogs. In fact, he sometimes enjoys them
too much and tries to follow them home! We are still working on
off-leash skills as Sully likes to dawdle and to wander and
occasionally to adopt new people for his own.
Sully
has charmed all of the staff at the vet clinic, and in fact most
people tell me he’s quite adorable. I agree whole-heartedly and think
that I am pretty lucky that I got to bring him home with me

Update April '19
This
handsome fellow is Sully. He will be 13 in July, and he was 5 when I
got him from the SPCAWQ. It took us a while to get his skin and ear
and eye issues sorted out, but now that he eats kangaroos (not whole
ones, just kangaroo dog food) and gets daily medication he’s looking
and feeling fine.
Sully is a true ‘gentle giant’ and captures people’s hearts from the
moment they look into his big brown eyes. He loves sniffing everything
very thoroughly (and has no concept of personal space), burying his
head in your lap while you scratch his ears, napping (memory foam beds
only please!), wading in shallow water and searching for treasures and
getting all of the attention from all of the people. Sully is
incredibly calm, incredibly quiet and incredibly sweet.
Thank you SPCAWQ for looking after Sully (formerly known as Wesley)
while he waited for his fur-ever home. He is a gem and I am so
fortunate that I got to bring him home with me.
