I miss you
all at the shelter but I am having so much fun in my forever home with
my new Mom and Dad who simply adore me and meeting all my new
relatives who think I am the cutest. I just recently met Bada my new
cousin who is new to our family as well. She is a Shiloh Shepherd and
I must admit looks like a bear but she is so gentle and kind to me.
Mom keeps telling me how bright I am and so smart and I know most of
my commands but still learning the one that tells me "to come". I do
but only when I get a treat. Mom and Dad have been taking me for trips
in the car because we plan a trip to N.S. this year and I want to go
too so they are seeing how well behaved I am. So far things are
looking good and I am on my best behavior (at times).
Every day I
am up at dawn and Dad takes me for an early morning walk and then we
have a group hug and off Dad goes to work. Mom takes me for a walk too
in the afternoon and I get a chance to meet all the neighbours and
then we have playtime in the backyard with my balls and toys. It is so
much fun and I have a huge ball twice my size that I play with and it
makes mom and dad laugh so much because I am
having
a blast with it rolling it all over the yard. It's great exercise too.
Every time Mom goes out she brings me a new toy and I get so excited.
The grandchildren love to play with me but I get a little too excited
at times jumping up and nipping but I am still learning since I am a
puppy. Mom and Dad wanted to enroll me in puppy classes for social
time but they said I was a teenager so I may go to adult classes we
are not sure yet as the other dogs may be much larger than me and mom
wants me to have a good experience. I get my rabies shot this Saturday
and in two weeks I go for my first grooming. Mom and Dad brush me
every day and even clean my teeth, how wonderful is that to be loved
so much.
Mom and Dad
are just amazed that I sleep so well at night and as soon as the alarm
goes off at 6:30 a.m. I am awake and ready to explore the day. I get
so much love and lots and lots of cuddles every day. Mom and Dad say
they are so blessed to have me and even call my blonde wavy hair on my
ears "angel wings" because they said I was sent from heaven.
Enjoy
the pics Mom and Dad have sent to you.
Love to you
all,
Shiloh (known
as Spezza)
Update December '17
Shiloh here
(aka Spezza) Just wanted to wish everyone and all my furry friends a
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for 2018. It has been eight months
since Mom and Dad adopted me from the shelter and I just celebrated my
first birthday and first Christmas. Santa said I may have been a
little naughty this year taking all the bulbs off the new Christmas
tree, chewing the cord not once but twice and breaking Mom's Christmas
centrepiece on the living room table. But Mom and Dad told Santa I am
just like Curious George and that I just love being curious with new
things so Santa put me on his good list and I got my new chewy toys to
play with. Mom and Dad said I am doing wonderful and they are growing
more in love with me each day. I am having a blast experiencing my
first winter and loving the snow and Mom and Dad laugh hysterically
watching me jump like a little rabbit when the snow gets too high for
my little legs. This summer I have been visiting our new dog park and
meeting new friends and having a great time running and playing it has
been so much fun, at times I don't want to leave. So in the afternoons
I am ready for my nap (which mom loves). I must say I do keep everyone
busy and on their toes but they all love me and I love them. We did
not make it to Nova Scotia this year but Mom and Dad said we will try
again next year. What an adventure that will be to swim in the ocean.
Until then, I do miss all my friends and furry friends and know that
one day someone will fall in love with them and they will have their
forever home too.
All my Love,
Shiloh
