We adopted Scout (originally named Squirt) on our first visit to the SPCA in late June.  He has grown to be less shy and nervous, and has put on three pounds, standing at a healthy 16.5 lbs currently.  His hair has also turned a lighter shade especially around his paws and back.  We are not sure why but the groomer says it's pretty common.  Scout has just turned two in January if the guestimate is correct to begin with.

Scout has just completed his Level 1 in obedience school and he enjoys the extra attention when we practice our training homework with him.  We are looking forward to Level 2 in a month's time.

Scout loves his daily walks especially when there is fresh deep snow.  He needs to walk on leash as he is easily distracted by sounds and small animals, particularly squirrels.  We are hoping Level 2 will help him to be
more focused.

We are so glad to have Scout - what a wonderful addition he is to our family!  There is always so much to learn to be the dog's best friend and leader.
