My daughter, Evita, has wanted a dog since she was born. Finally, at the age of 16, I agreed to add a dog to our family. We adopted our beloved Pippa in January of this year from SPCA of Western Quebec.
Pippa has the most lovely, gentle, affectionate nature imaginable. Wherever we go, whether it's other people's homes, or the dog park, or just down the street, everyone falls in love with Pippa, because she's just a happy, loving soul. We have a list of fans waiting to dog-sit. Even the cats are grudgingly tolerant of her, having now bonded together to keep a close eye on her (see her below with "Crash", the cat).
With all that thick fur, Pippa finds it pretty warm in the house, so sleeps near the door to stay as cool as possible and loves to roll and lay in the snow. We've certainly never enjoyed winter as much as this year as Pippa just can't get enough snow play!
