We are so thrilled to have Mexi as part of our family, and happy that we were able to adopt her from the SPCA. We had recently lost a wonderful dog to heart failure, and had decided to wait a bit before adopting another pet. Fate stepped in when I was looking at the website for the SPCA of Western Quebec and saw the cutest puppy, our Mexi! Later the same day our family drove the 60 kilometers to Gatineau we all fell in love with Mexi.
It has been many years since we've had a puppy and we forgot how much energy puppies have! Mexi wants to play and loves the new toys she has as well as her "baby" that we brought with her when she came home with us. Although we've had Mexi for a little over a month, she has settled in nicely with our family and is growing quickly. Thanks so much to the SPCA of Western Quebec and their staff for taking such good care of our little girl before she found her forever home with us!
Update July ’12 … Mexi is doing great! She has become quite the little swimmer. Here is a link to a youtube video of her in our pool!
