son's Lab outside and after reviewing each other the Lab accepted
Logan who wanted only to play.  Two of his children came along
and he was very good with them.  He knew right away what they
          were.  In fact
the 11 year old girl handled him better than I did.

In the evening he  was crated at 8 pm and we didn't hear from him
until 8 am when we went to get him.  He had a good walk around
the yard (¾ of an acre), then in for a treat until we had breakfast.
His big meal was at 10am.

After some tidying up we walked him in the farmer's field, then I
tried the Champ Walk Master, somewhat like a Haltie only easier to put
on.  It worked like a charm.  Very quickly he stopped
pulling.  Nothing tight around his neck, just a strap across his
nose.  We both enjoyed our walk after that, then to a very long
lead so he could be free to explore.

I now feel confident about taking him to dog obedience.  He's all
set to go in November.  He does learn very fast.  He is
already better at sitting and waiting to follow us through the door.
The vet's appointment is next Monday.

Today we had another family with smaller children.  They enjoyed
his friskiness.  He is very different from the shepherd whom we
          kept away from them.

Thank you again for your encouragement.  I was a little
apprehensive about his strength, but he is still a puppy and now I am
sure he will settle in very soon.  We are already beginning to
          enjoy him.
