          My name is Lisa aka
Godiva.  I’m now 6 months old and growing more than expected!

          Apparently I’m a
lab x, but the more I grow people say I must have shepherd in me.
I’m quite long in the back and have a great long tail which is fun to
chase.  ‘They’ laugh at me because I can’t control my ears – one
or the other just stands up unexpectedly and I guess I do look rather
          funny.

          I’m writing to tell
you that I’m fine and really am a very lucky dog, as ‘they’ keep
informing me.  I live on a horse farm and have learned to respect
them although I’m not frightened by them.  I love eating horse
‘poop’ and rolling in the stuff which annoys the 2 legged ones around
here.  I love playing with the barn cat, Thomas, who is not
scared of me and who just bats me when I get too rambunctious.
As I said, I have it pretty good here – I run around when ‘they’ are
outside and come inside when they do, but I’m allowed to stay out on
my own as long as I don’t stray too far.  I am trying to be good
about it, honestly. I’m allowed inside the house, but not upstairs.
I do have a nice bed of my own not far from the wood stove, which I
don’t have to share with anyone.

          I have 2 ‘cousins’
one of which came from you too.  They are older and bigger, but
they have taught me a lot about respecting my elders.  After a
visit from them, I’m exhausted but in a good kind of way.  This
snow stuff is great fun.  I can jump, roll, dig and everyone just
laughs at me.  ‘They’ X-C ski and I love attacking their skis
which is not popular; in fact I love attacking brooms, hose pipes,
vacuums, snow shovels -  I love disrupting ‘their’ work.  The lab
side of me loves to carry things and fetch balls or sticks and I
          loooove my food.

          Happy New Year.

          Until the next
          time,

          Lisa
