Here are some pictures from earlier in the summer of Friday swimming and playing with his friends up at the cottage. He has gained a bit of weight since these were taken and is up to 56 lbs.
He is still quite a shy boy, but now knows his name, comes (most of the way) when he's called and can "sit", "wait" and "lay down". We are working on coming right up to people, and being ok with new poeple we meet in the street.
He likes running along the river in the evening, although I think he finds my pace a little slow. As always, he is a dog's dog, and loves playing at the park, where I have started letting him off lead except with his little handle (you can see it in the photos) so that I can catch him to bring him home.
Hope things are well there, and thanks again for my wonderful running partner.
Update December ‘20 Friday is doing amazing. You would never know he is approaching 10 years old, except for his distinguished greys. Although still timid around strangers he is much more confident. Friday even rides the streetcar at our new home in Toronto. He loves swimming in Lake Ontario daily, even when there is ice, and playing with other dogs and small children. Enjoy some updated photos of my most handsome boy.
