          It has
been 4 months since my girlfriend and I adopted Fat Tony (formerly
Davie).  He has been an absolute joy to have!  Always there
looking for a rub, and the occasional treat.  He is the most
placid and easygoing cat either of us have ever owned.  He spends
his time either in the closet wrapped up in some of my old clothes, on
the bed, in the bathroom sink or atop the kitchen cupboards.

          When
we bought him he was near 30 lbs (hence the "Fat" part in his name)!
Well, he is down a couple of pounds, but not many.  He LOVES
catnip (as if any cat doesn't), his fish (a stuffy he discovered one
night) and surprisingly, he likes to play in water.  The first
night we brought him home was a delight.  We introduced him to my
sister's Shih Tzu, Buddha, and instead of running as some cats would,
Tony showed the dog who is boss (not surprising since Tony is about
          the same size as Buddha).

          He
quickly warmed up to us and our home; the transition was seamless.
It was as if this was his home his entire life.  With me being
sick, I spend a lot of time at home alone; not anymore.  Tony and
I have become best friends, we can spend hours just sitting with each
other, playing with his toys and even taking naps together.

          Tony
is nearly 4 years old and although some people decided to pass on him
because he is "old", we are thrilled that we have such a great cat and
are looking forward to a long and healthy life with him.

          Thank
you SPCA of Western Quebec, without your shelter and services, no one
knows what might have happened to Tony.  You can rest assured,
Tony is loved and will never see a shelter again.

          All the best,
