Colby was one of a litter of 11 and 2 died, I believe. Colby came to our house as a birthday present for my wife. He was a busy but very affectionate puppy and tormented our existing Golden Lab of 7 years (Buddy).
On his
return home he was weaker, thinner and tired. Within a matter of
days he seemed to come back to life and now is back to being his busy
normal self. It is truly amazing how in just a short period of
time we became so closely attached to him.

Two
months after we had him home and at only 4 months old, one Sunday
afternoon he became very ill. We rushed him to our vet on the
Monday morning as he now was near death to find out he had contracted parvo disease. He was in the vet hospital for 4 days receiving
IV fluids and antibiotics. Those seemed to be the longest 4 days for
my wife, daughter, myself and even Buddy.
