Boxie was adopted
last summer from the Aylmer SPCA. Jennifer acted as his foster
mother till a more permanent home was found. Boxie is now very
well adjusted to his new family and his new brother.
Boxie loves to sit
by the fence and look up at the squirrels, hoping that one will fall.
He has caught several animals in the back yard, including a skunk.
The hunter instinct is strong in this one.
Here is Boxie
relaxing in his new home. He seems to enjoy all of the attention
and loving that he gets all the time. The scratches on his nose
are from the skunk, but the skunk lost.
Here is
Boxie with his new brother Buddy; they really get along well.
Boxie used to have another brother Lucky but he was adopted a couple
of weeks earlier (he is also in the "Happy Tails" stories).
Buddy even looks a bit like Boxie's first brother Lucky.
Here they are
playing in the snow. They have lots of room to run and play,
although sometimes they play a little rough. Buddy has learned a
lot from Boxie, he copies him all the time. Buddy is a bit of a
brat, but Boxie is tolerant of him, but only up to a point. At
the end of the day Boxie is the alpha dog!
As you can see,
Buddy just loves his big brother Boxie. They keep each other
company all day long. We just love having two dogs, it was the
best decision we ever made. Having two dogs is better than we
could ever have dreamed...
