Bennie has taken over the sofa, mainly because his bed is too full of
toys. Although he still needs help getting up on the sofa. And for a
dog who came from Iqaluit, he really hates going out in the cold....
Update
April '16
Eight
weeks ago today, we adopted Bennie. Bennie was listed as a Manchester
Terrier/Chihuahua mix, or possibly Terrier/Corgi. He was listed at
around 18 weeks at the time, and was expected to grow to around 25
lbs. All I can say is ... uh, no.
When we got Bennie, he was around 10 lbs. Eight weeks later, he has
topped 30 lbs already, and seems to have a growth spurt every day.
Based on his teething, he is likely a few weeks younger than his
estimate. He started out with alligator teeth, and we were his chew
toys. Luckily, this has slowed down, but he still thinks he needs to
bite for attention.
We are on round two of puppy training, but the main concentration is
teaching him to walk - I have never before met a puppy who hates
walking as much as he does. But he's learning.
